Abstract
Pandemic of COVID-19 started suddenly in March, 2020 and a lot of problems of online education emerged at one moment. Today students were in the classrooms and tomorrow they had classes from homes. First weeks of online education was a great challenge for students and teachers – for most of them it was their first experience. What is the best way to organize a lecture? Which tools to use? How to organize discussion? Tests? Exams? How many lessons should be per day for students (and for teachers)? First questions and first answers. After first two months of online education, we felt that students became much more tired than usually and at the same time teachers taught less content than in previous years. Can we improve this situation and do we have to improve it? Then we had an exam session and it became obvious that it should be changed as well as all assessment system. What are the ways of changing?
In my presentation I’ll talk about some of these questions and answers and try to summarize advantages and disadvantages of online education for students and teachers in accordance with surveys and discussions.
