Prof. Sriracha and Team Discussed Implementation of Country Reform on Education Policy with OEC

On March 11, 2020, the Office of the Education Council (OEC) held a meeting on policy coordination and performance monitoring under the initiative of the Deputy Minister of Education (Dr. Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich). Taking place at Kamhaeng Balankura Meeting Room, OEC, the meeting was chaired by Prof. Sriracha Wongsarayangkoon and attended by the working team of the Deputy Minister of Education, Secretary-General of the Education Council (Dr. Suphat Champatong), Deputy Secretaries-General of the Education Council (Dr. Somsak Donprasit and Dr. Ausanee Thanosawan), Directors, and OEC officials.

The topics discussed in the meeting included draft of the new National Education Act which is now under the consideration of the Minister of Education; implementation of the Country Reform Plan on Education; and progress of early childhood development in line with the Early Childhood Development Act B.E. 2562 (2019). In this meeting, the working team of the Deputy Minister of Education shared with the OEC side opinions in various issues, talking about problems and obstacles to be solved urgently as well as making recommendations on implementation of the Country Reform Plan on Education. The next meeting will be take place on March 17, 2020 at OEC, under the topic of the reform for reduction of educational inequity.
