The Cabinet has endorsed the draft National Standard for Early Childhood Development Centres.
Dr. Watanaporn Ra-Ngubtook, Deputy Secretary General of the Education Council (OEC) revealed the resolution of the Cabinet meeting held on 2nd January 2019 on the draft National Standard for Early Childhood Development Centres.
“The endorsed draft National Standard for Early Childhood Development Centres, presented by the Ministry of Education, will be used as the main standard of Thailand in improving the centres. The involved Ministries would consider to follow the standard as guideline in supporting and managing the centers in their control.
The Cabinet preferred the Ministry of Education to cooperate with related Ministries, such as Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, Ministry of Interior, and Ministry of Public Health, etc., in working together consistently after the standard has been declared officially.”
Dr. Watanaporn also said that “as the secretary to the Committee on the National Standard for Early Childhood Development Centres, OEC would arrange a meeting on the standard, aiming at how to operate according to the National Standard for Early Childhood Development Centres as well as provision of a handbook in order to build consensual understanding and to work together effectively. Furthermore, OEC will monitor the progress of operation and report to the Committee on the National Standard for Early Childhood Development Centres. ”
