OEC disclosed the situation of Thai Education in 2017-2018.

OEC disclosed the situation of Thai Education in 2017-2018 that 90 percent of children could get access to the compulsory education but the inequality of education quality still appeared.

On 19th December 2018, OEC hosted a meeting on Thai Education Situation in 2017-2018 which aimed to present the changes of Thai education circumstances. Dr. Somsak Donprasit, Deputy Secretary-General, OEC
as the chairman of the meeting, revealed that the access to education was not a critical problem in Thailand at the moment because more than 70 percent of Thais could reach the compulsory education.

Nonetheless, the significant problem was the children living in rural areas or living in poverty faced the difficulty of education quality. Considerably, even Thailand has put vast amount of budget on education but
the academic achievements are still unsatisfied, such as O-net and PISA.  OEC would take action to improve education policy in order to develop the quality of education for Thais equally and properly.
