สำนักงานเลขาธิการสภาการศึกษา และ Educational Planning and Research Division (EPRD) แห่งกระทรวงศึกษาธิการของประเทศมาเลเซียได้มีข้อตกลง ร่วมกันจัดประชุมสัมมนาการวิจัยทางการศึกษาปีละ 1 ครั้ง โดยสลับกันเป็นเจ้าภาพ โดยในปี พ.ศ.2552 (2009) สกศ. ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพในการประชุม ครั้ังที่ 2 และมีผู้นำเสนองานวิจัยเชิงนโยบายประเทศละ 4 เรื่อง งานวิจัยในชั้นเรียนประเทศละ 10 เรื่อง และงานวิจัยในรูปแบบโปสเตอร์ประเทศละ 5 เรื่อง
